About Us

Welcome to Little Sunflower Farm!

Our family moved to Lancaster in 2009. One of our goals was to transform our 3 acre backyard into a market garden. We first planted fruit and nut trees, berries, and a huge variety of vegetables and herbs. We then added chickens and bees to the mix. We began selling our produce as well as our eggs, honey, hand made soaps and beeswax products to friends and neighbors at local farmers markets. Several years ago we expanded our growing to include cut flowers. Starting from seed in winter, nurturing and caring for the little seedlings indoors throughout the cold wet spring, we love when it finally becomes planting season. Watering, weeding, watching everything grow, and harvesting are all fulfilling farm chores. Delivering these beautiful bouquets to friends and neighbors brought smiles and hugs when we all needed them most.

We have since transitioned our growing to focus on fresh cut flowers. For our market bouquets, we currently grow heirloom varieties such as fragrant old fashioned sweet peas and bells of Ireland, unique and unusual flowers, and classic, traditional favorites including tulips, daffodils, and sunflowers. In 2022 we added dahlias to our flower farm experiment and fell in love with the beautiful multitude of colors, textures, and sizes. We will continue to explore new flower varieties and keep growing our customers’ and our favorites as well!

We sell our market bouquets at our roadside farm stand in front of our barn. You can stop by the farm stand to choose a bouquet or two, or within a certain radius, order online (coming soon!) and have it delivered right to your door.

We are located in central Massachusetts, where nearby apple orchards and local farms. Old barns are home to cows and livestock, and fields of big round hay bales help create an idyllic picturesque landscape.  Our pastoral farm-friendly community is home to the winding Nashua River, orchards, farms, wineries, breweries, homemade ice creameries, Christmas tree farms, barbecue favorites, and numerous hiking trails.

We take pride in our commitment to sustainable and organic farming practices, ensuring that every bouquet we sell is not only beautiful, but also grown with care and respect for our environment.

At Little Sunflower Farm, we believe in supporting our neighbors, giving back, paying it forward, shopping local, slow food, small footprint, and respect and gratitude for our Mother Earth.

We believe that by choosing fresh-cut, locally grown flowers, you can surround yourself with the beauty of nature while supporting local growers. We strive to help you bring that beauty into your home. Thank you for choosing Little Sunflower Farm for your cut flower needs!
